Summer’s End

Two signs that summer is winding down:

(1) Two cords of wood are waiting to be stacked. Henry was so excited to stack wood this morning, he gobbled down his breakfast as fast as he could. We put him on kindling duty and he did a pretty good job of making neat piles. Of course, I took a break to pose for a 34 week+4 day bump shot. (2) The Champlain Valley Fair comes to town. We had to tear Henry away from the woodpile to bring him to the fair – “I want to stay home…I NOT like the fair.” He had never been, so he had no idea how awesome it was going to be. He ended up loving it (obviously…rides, games, farm animals, junk food…serious toddler heaven).
