Two Weeks

Yesterday was Julian’s due date. After dropping Henry off at school, we went to our favorite breakfast place to celebrate.

I’m still in a bit of disbelief that he’s been with us for two weeks already. Things have been going really well. I’m so much more relaxed this time around and it doesn’t hurt that, so far, Jude is a pretty easy going fellow. He only cries when he’s hungry and he’s been nursing like a champ (he gained one ounce shy of a pound in the nine days in between his first doctor’s appointment at 4 days old and his 2-week check up). Breastfeeding Henry was pretty stressful the first few weeks, so it’s such a relief to not have to meticulously document input and output this time around.

We’ve been enjoying having this time off together as a family (Erin goes back to work Monday…), and have been taking full advantage of the gorgeous fall weather.

Every family breaks out their coordinating denim for the one-week photo, right?
