9 Months

It’s 5:50 am, and I woke up in a panic about an hour ago because someone has been asleep since 8 pm. Our first night of uninterrupted sleep in 9 months!

This guy is on the move all the time. He has graduated from the army crawl to a classic crawl, but still prefers to pull himself up to a standing position and attempt to walk.

Julian loves food. He basically eats anything you put in front of him. Putting him in his high chair with a little snack is really the only way to get anything done when there’s just one parent in the house.

Teeth have finally appeared! In true Julian fashion, four teeth are cutting through in rapid succession. The bottom two came in first a week or so ago, followed almost immediately by the top left tooth, and now, the other top tooth is making an appearance. He’s not quite sure what to do with these new objects in his mouth. He’s been making this funny bulldog face as he gets used to his new chompers. He’s also been making this little mischievous face  while nursing that means he’s about to bite me…I had forgotten how sharp those new teeth are!

So, that’s 9 months. The last single digit monthiversary.

The past month in photos:

I ran 21 miles of the Vermont City Marathon before they shut down the race because of extreme heat and humidity.

Henry fell in love on Memorial Day (too bad she lives in Scotland).

The boys had their very first night with a real babysitter (i.e. not a friend or family member) while we saw Brandi Carlile.

Celebrating love and our wonderful community at the Orlando vigil.

We took the boys to a Ray Lamontagne concert.

We hiked Mt. Philo.

Celebrating Grampy and Uncle Nate on Father’s Day.

Henry’s preferred mode of transportation these days – his Thomas bike.

We celebrated Great Grammy’s 91st (!!!) birthday.

Beach days!

And, a new summer do for Henry.

p.s. It’s 6:30 and someone just woke up and went back to sleep after a little milk.

  1. Now that is a jam-packed month! No wonder Julian slept so well! On to the rest of the summer, and retirement for Grampy.
